The staff at Bike&Bed were incredibly friendly and supportive, making our stay exceptional. The showers were the best we've had in Asia, with shampoo and towels included. The beds were incredibly comfortable and everything was kept clean. The included breakfast was generous and the local, organic coffee was worth the extra cost. The location was perfect for rock climbing, and they even had a cute little dog! We would definitely come back any time.

Great cost-benefit and helpful staff for planning the motorbike loop. the room was simple but comfortable and had good air-conditioning. the hostel provided free coffee and tea, and there were plenty of food options nearby.
The accommodation situation in the town is not great and the prices for dorm rooms can be high compared to other options in Laos. It would have been helpful if there was a warning sign about the police scam involving foreigners and motorbikes.

Bike&Bed was a great place to stay in Thakhek. the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, providing assistance with everything from extending my stay to offering support while I did the Thakek loop. the location was central and convenient, close to motorbike rentals, restaurants, and cafes. the hostel had a lovely atmosphere and a chill out area, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. the rooms were spacious and comfortable, with amenities like AC and power sockets. the showers were among the best I've had during my travels.
Bike&Bed was a great value and I would highly recommend it. Cons: Nothing I didn't like to be fair.

Shower facilities were excellent, one of the best I had in SE Asia, with soap provided. Free filtered water available for guests. Helpful and friendly staff who allowed me to shower even after checking out.
Lack of extra amenities, such as a breakfast option or fun activities like a pool table. Limited communal area due to crowded common area and backpacks from night bus travelers.

Great cost-benefit in a nice place with helpful staff. Free coffee/tea and many food options nearby. Comfortable and air-conditioned room.
Beware of scooter rentals, as there may be scams near the police station. Rental partner caused lower score.

Great value for money, comfy beds, and excellent shower facilities. The staff at Bike&Bed were incredibly helpful, offering advice on local attractions and even driving us to the bus station.
The breakfast option could use improvement, perhaps by offering a wider variety of choices.

Clean rooms, excellent facilities, and great breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff, especially the manager who assisted with visa issues. Expensive but worth it. Comfortable beds, feels like a home away from home. Perfect for starting the Thakhek Loop, plenty of information available. Staff even allowed us to shower and wait for our pick up after the loop. Highly recommended!

I recently stayed at a hostel in the heart of Thakhek, and I must say it was a great experience. The rooms were clean and spacious, and I had no issues with bugs or mosquitoes. The hostel had a nice chill out area and provided ample space to store my belongings while I went on the Thakhek Loop. The breakfast options were delicious and satisfying, and the staff were very helpful once I started asking questions. Although there were a few initial communication gaps, they quickly provided all the information I needed for the loop. Additionally, the hostel's central location made it easy to find a place to rent a scooter. I would recommend this hostel to anyone planning to explore Thakhek.

The location of this budget hotel is excellent, with the Mekong River just a stone's throw away, offering a perfect spot to enjoy the stunning sunset. the rooms are clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned, ensuring a pleasant stay. the communal areas, both indoors and outdoors, are great for socializing and relaxing, with hammocks and a chill-out area. the breakfast options are varied and delicious, with fresh fruit included. the staff is friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to assist guests.
The language barrier may be a slight issue, as not all staff members are proficient in English, but they still try their best to be helpful.
